Meet CATRA's Chair - November 2018 to November 2020 ...
CATRA is pleased to announce that Brett Eckstein of Manitoba will serve as Chair for the next two years.
Succeeding Jeff MacCallum of Nova Scotia, Brett is Executive Director of the CATRA Member Tire Stewardship Manitoba (TSM), a not-for-profit industry association formed to operate a scrap tire recycling program on behalf of tire retailers in Manitoba.
Brett has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Politics and Economics and a Master of Arts degree in International Relations and Canadian Government from the University of Manitoba, as well as a Master of Science degree in Space Studies from the University of North Dakota. Upon graduation, he worked as an aerospace consultant and later served as a Senior Analyst for Manitoba Executive Council’s Policy Management Secretariat and the Sustainable Development Co-ordination Unit.
Brett joined the Pollution Prevention Branch of Manitoba Conservation in 2000 and was responsible for developing and implementing "Manitoba's Sustainable Development Procurement Guidelines" and worked on the province’s Green Strategy Initiatives at Green Manitoba before joining TSM in 2008.
As CATRA Chair, Brett’s emphasis over the next two years will be to continue supporting the growth of each Member’s program through the sharing of information, expertise and resources.
